LumÉ marks - precision in progress

A Young Markwoman Forging Her Path

Lumé Marks isn't your average 11-year-old. While many her age are just discovering their interest, Lumé has already found her focus at the center of a target, demonstrating a discipline and passion for sport shooting that belies her young age.

Her journey began just two years ago, at the age of 9. What started as a spark of curiosity quickly ignited into a full-blown passion. From her very first lesson, it was clear that Lumé had a natural aptitude for the sport -  a steady hand, a keen eye, and most importantly, a calm and focused mind.

Building a Foundation: From Clubshoots to Leagues

Lumé's aproach to the sport has been one of dedication and steady growth. She and her coaches believed in building a rock-solid foundation.

  • The Beginning (Age 9): Lumé dedicated her first year mastering the fundamentals through regular clubshoots. Here, she learned not just how to shoot, but how to compete - understanding range etiquette, managing her time on the line and fostering camaraderie with fellow shooters.
  • Stepping Up: The natural next step was testing her skills in a more structured competitive environment. She began participating in local and regional leagues, alongside shooters much older and more experienced than herself. This period was crucial in developing her competitive spirit and resilience.

Rising to the National Stage

Lumé soon began participating at National levels, competing against junior shooters in the nation.

Each national competition has been a valuable learning experience, fueling her ambition and hardening her resolve.

Beyond the Scoreboard

For Lumé, sport shooting is more than just scores and medals It's about the focus required in a single moment, the friendship with her teammates and the constant pursuit of personal improvement.
