A Young Markwoman Forging Her Path
Lumé Marks isn't your average 11-year-old. While many her age are just discovering their interest, Lumé has already found her focus at the center of a target, demonstrating a discipline and passion for sport shooting that belies her young age.
Her journey began just two years ago, at the age of 9. What started as a spark of curiosity quickly ignited into a full-blown passion. From her very first lesson, it was clear that Lumé had a natural aptitude for the sport - a steady hand, a keen eye, and most importantly, a calm and focused mind.
Building a Foundation: From Clubshoots to Leagues
Lumé's aproach to the sport has been one of dedication and steady growth. She and her coaches believed in building a rock-solid foundation.
Rising to the National Stage
Lumé soon began participating at National levels, competing against junior shooters in the nation.
Each national competition has been a valuable learning experience, fueling her ambition and hardening her resolve.
Beyond the Scoreboard
For Lumé, sport shooting is more than just scores and medals It's about the focus required in a single moment, the friendship with her teammates and the constant pursuit of personal improvement.
A Markman on the Rise
At just ten years old, Ruben Marks is already making a profound impact in the world of competitive sport shooting. With a focus and determination that transcends his years, Ruben's journey is a testament to what passion, supported by discipline and excellent training, can achieve.
His adventure began, what started as an introduction to firearm safety and fundamentals quickly revealed a natural talent.

Conquering the National Stage and a Historical Achievement: The Presidents Medal
The year 2024 marked a defining moment in Ruben's young shooting journey. He competed in the prestigious Africa Continental Handgun Championships. Amidst a field of experienced and older competitors, Ruben made history.
His performance, composure and sheer dedication were recognized with the Presidents Medal, awarded to him as the youngest competitor to participate in the championships. This incredible honor is not just a personal triumph but an inspiration to young athletes across the continent, proving that age is no barrier to achievement.
