Recommendations for Ear Protection: Walkers Razor Slim/ 3M Peltor

Electronic earmuffs are highly recommended. They amplify range commands and conversation while cutting out harmful gunshots.

2. A Reliable Handgun:

  • Divisions: IPSC has several divisions.

The most common for beginners are:

- Productions: For stock, double-action or striker-fired pistols (limited modifications). Magazine capacity limit of 15 rounds.

A very popular and cost-effective starting point.

- Production Optic (PO): Similar to Production but allows red dot sights. Magazine capacity limit of 15 rounds.

- Standard: Allows for more modifications and higher magazine capacity (max 140mm length). Often uses double-action

  9mm pistols.

- Open: The "unlimited" division with compensators, optical sights and larger magazines. The most expensive.
